Our lives are ever-changing and evolving; presenting us with new opportunities and challenges along the way. We may find that what was once manageable becomes overwhelming, or that new circumstances bring struggle and the need for additional support.

I am someone who believes that we all encounter times in our lives where we can benefit from seeking additional guidance and support. I would love to walk that path with you.

My Journey

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I attended the University of Texas for both my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and also my Master’s Degree in Social Work. My own experience with loss related to a parent’s terminal illness further reinforced my drive toward the counseling profession. I have worked in the hospice and bereavement field for the last 5 years assisting patients and families with navigating the grieving process. I have also spent the last year seeing clients at Plumeria Counseling Center which has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to support individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and adjustment issues related to daily stressors and life transitions. I am passionate about helping people find deeper understanding, hope, and rediscovery after loss and significant life events.

When I’m not working, you can find me running after my 4 year old son or hanging out with my baby girl. Add in one husband and loyal pug and you have a full house!

My Approach to Counseling

Counseling can be hard work; yet so rewarding. My goal as a therapist is to offer a relaxed, informal setting where we can discuss both where you came from…and where you want to go. Whether you are experiencing a significant life transition or just feeling overwhelmed with daily stress, I will provide a safe, trusting environment to explore all of this. I believe that small shifts in thinking and behavior can have profound effects on our happiness and well-being. It’s never too late (or early!) to seek positive change in our lives.
